As part of a milestone birthday celebration, in 2014 we traveled to South Africa to learn more about nonprofit Universal Promise and its efforts at Vusumzi Primary School. During our warm and welcoming visit, we soon learned that the school did not yet have a constant supply of clean water.

We partnered with UP to make clean water our top priority and began creating vinyl flowers from recycled record albums and selling the one-of-a-kind products to hundreds of customers.

In a handful of months, our generous supporters raised the funds to install a water collection, purification, and filtration system that serves 750 children. That was just the beginning.

All Sales Are Vinyl uses two sizes of records (33s and 45s), which we heat, mold, and paint with an interior-exterior paint. Decorated centers are designed from recycled materials, and the flowers are fastened with rust-resistant hardware on a sturdy garden stake. These hardy, whimsical creations thrive in all weather conditions.
