WGME in Maine had learned about All Sales Are Vinyl's Cindy and Brian Neprash and their successful efforts to take reduce, reuse, recycle to the next level, and WGME decided the station should spread the word.

To raise funds to install an unprecedented water purification system at Vusumzi Primary School, a K-7 school in South Africa, Cindy and Brian used their ingenuity to manufacture flowers from vinyl records and other donated, decorative pieces.

The system was installed in October 2014, and has provided clean water for drinking, washing, plumbing, and upkeep of the school grounds.

Since the installation, the children have not missed one day of school due to drought or other water issues.

All Sales Are Vinyl and It's All Good, the couple's upscale resale shop in Brunswick, Maine, are continuing to tackle the issue of a lack of a continuous clean water supply at other area schools and are busy making FLOWERS FOR WATER at their shop at 212 Maine Street in Brunswick.
